What positions in the Air Force are paid in the civil sector?
Recently joined the Air Force and I was looking at some of the jobs that are available. I want to get a job that (1) can lead to civil sector initiative and (2) that pays pretty well. I was told traffic controllers Air is one of the highest paid positions that leave the Air Force, but what else would be a good occupation to study?
ATC is good but very stressful in the civilian world from what I hear. Anything in the medical career field would also be good. Such as dental Hygenist, Technical Radiologist, The Apprentice laboratory, pharmacy technology. Anything with computers is also good. Civil engineering jobs such as apprentice HVAC can go and work for a Condtioning air and heating repair company. You can also make flight attendant, culinary schools send you to get to fly everywhere. Once the transfer would leave the corporate world and the flight attendant if you get into aviation maintenance, you'll get the experience but you will need to obtain a license from the airframe and engine to work with airlines that FA does not give. Whatever you do try, and get knocked some college courses while in and make sure to register in the GI Bill.
