Car design / automotive design information?
Hi For my senior design're doing a car from scratch and compete in the challenge green shell. I am the leader of the team making the body and need to know everything about the material (fiberglass, kevlar, composite materials, plastics or metals. etc) and also how to design a concept drawing for a CAD program such as SolidWorks or ProE, and / or perhaps in the form of clay model (Pro style). Does anyone know of good sites, books, manuals, etc. on these? Thanks in advance ……..
If your school is using the issue SolidWorks Student are able to get tutotrials under the program … on the right is a bar of one of … they can make tutorials available to you … one of them is the design of the mold, but I think I know what you're looking for is there. I do not think you can test the aerodynamics in the program yet, but I know to do that is fantastic for mechanical engineering … if i want to google up some ideas vehicles ecological challenge … I'm sure you can find something.
